Anyone accessing this public wireless network does so at their own risk. Coastal is not responsible for material viewed, downloaded or received through the Internet. Nor will Coastal provide technical assistance or Help Desk support for users who have difficulty accessing the public wireless network.

WARNING: Software and other data downloaded from the Internet may contain a variety of harmful software including viruses, worms, and other malicious programs. Public Internet users should have virus-checking and firewall software on their computers in order to protect their PCs and software. Coastal is not responsible for damage to a user’s computer, data or programs, nor does Coastal assume responsibility for any loss of data, damage, or liability that may occur from using this service.

PROHIBITIONS

Coastal Federal Credit Union prohibits the following activities:

Offensive Web sites – Coastal prohibits displaying, uploading/downloading or copying offensive or inappropriate messages, pictures or explicit sexual material. Coastal is not responsible for the content that the public may encounter whey they use the internet.

Blocking Sites and Content Types – Ability to connect to a specific web site does not in itself imply that users of the Public Internet are permitted to visit that site. Coastal may, at its discretion, restrict or block downloading of certain file types that are likely to cause network service degradation.

Children – Parents or guardians are responsible for their minor children’s use of the Internet and should closely supervise them.

Violating the Law – Users must not violate any Federal, state or local laws or encourage others to do so.

Offensive and Illegal Electronic Communication –

• Transmission of offensive or harassing messages.
• Offering for sale or use any substance the possession or use of which is prohibited by law.
• Viewing, transmitting or downloading pornographic materials or materials that encourage others to violate the law.
• Downloading or transmitting confidential, trade secret information, or copyrighted materials.
• Causing harm to others or damage to their property.
• Uploading a worm, virus or other harmful forms of programming or vandalism.
• Participating in hacking activities or any form of unauthorized access to other computers, networks, or information systems.
• Engaging in any activity that compromises the corporate or wireless public internet access network.
• Impersonating another user.
• Engaging in activities that threaten the safety and security of minors (those under 17) when using email, chat rooms, blogs, or other forms of direct electronic communication.

Privacy Policy

You understand and agree that Coastal may access, preserve, and disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such access preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process or protect the rights and property of Coastal Federal Credit Union or the public.
